canoe & Kayak Rentals on the Okatoma Creek

The Okatoma Creek is one of the prettiest stretches of paddling in South Mississippi—sandy-bottomed water, shady tree cover, sandbars made for lounging, and little waterfalls you'll paddle right past. Travel at your own pace, swim when you want, and stay on a sandbar as long as you like.

We're the only outfitter on the Okatoma with facilities right on the creek. Our shuttle takes you upstream to the put-in, and you float back down to us, so your vehicle and a hot shower are waiting at the end of your trip. No hassle, no ending your day somewhere you didn't start.

worth the drive from louisiana

If you're coming from Louisiana, the Okatoma is the closest thing to a mountain stream you'll find without leaving the Gulf South—sandy-bottomed water that's a world away from the bayou.

We're about two hours from New Orleans, two and a half from Baton Rouge, and a quick shot up Highway 59 from Slidell and the Northshore. Leave after breakfast, be on the water by lunch. And if one day on the creek isn't enough, our cabins, RV park, and campsites mean you don't have to drive home tonight.
